Tom has worked in the dealership industry for over 30 years as a controller for various dealerships and automotive aftermarket manufacturing facilities, and for 15 years at Vawter, Gammon, Norris & Co.as an auditor and consultant. His responsibilities include reviewing clients’ books and records, compiling tax information, and providing consultation services.
Tom defines success as being multi-faceted. As a consultant, he feels successful when he is able to provide a client with solutions that make them happy or ease their concerns. Personally, he says success is found by being a caring person who is willing to provide when and where a provision is needed.
Tom was born and raised in Nashville. Immediately following college graduation, he was commissioned through ROTC and flew military helicopters for 36 years both on active duty and in the National Guard. He is a Vietnam veteran and received a PurpleHeart, seven Air Medals, Distinguished Flying Cross, and three VietnameseCrosses of Gallantry. Tom likes to say he is addicted to flying. Tom and his wife have been married for over 50 years and have two sons and five grandchildren. They have been living inMemphis for over 40 years.
